FAIRFAX, Calif. - Finishing off play at the Juli Inkster Invitational at Meadow Club, senior Madison Odiorne capped one of the best performances of her four-year career with a tie for eighth place after posting a one-over, 217 for the two day event. With Odiorne at the top, the Cougars ended the tournament in eighth place overall at +22 after scoring a combined 886 in three rounds. The Cougars finished the tournament with another five-over, 293, matching their first round score from Monday morning.

For Ordiorne, the senior put together her best tournament to par after shooting scores of 72, 71, and 74 in three rounds. Despite going two over in the final round, the senior leader held steady in the top-10 of the tournament throughout the day while going +1 in both halves of her Tuesday round. Throughout the tournament, Ordiorne played steady around the Meadow Club course, posting 41 pars, the third-best mark among all 72 participants. Overall, Odiorne's eighth place finish marked the second-best finish for the senior trailing only her sixth place finish at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in 2016.

While Ordiorne paced the Cougars for the tournament, freshman Amy Chu paced WSU for the day as the young Coug carded an even-par, 72, while posting a team-best four birdies in the round. Chu ended her tournament tied for 46th at 12-over. While Chu led the way Tuesday it was her classmate Darcy Habgood who finished right behind Odiorne in the standings with a season-best 21st place finish. The first-semester Cougar went one-over with a 73 on the final day to finish the tournament at six-over par.

Overall the tournament title went to Rutgers at four-over as the Scarlet Knights outlasted the field including No. 47 Cal ad No. 32 San Jose State. Rutgers' Harriet Allsebrook grabbed the individual title as well after posting a 207 (-9) to win the tournament by five strokes over Sacramento State's Julia Becker.

The Cougars will take two weeks off before heading to back to California for the Silverado Showdown hosted by Colorado. The three-day event spanning April 7-9 marks the regular season finale for the Cougars before heading to the Pac-12 Championships.
