The No. 13 USC women's tennis team defeated Oregon 5-2 on Saturday (March 23) in Eugene, Ore. to improve to 12-2 overall and 3-0 in Pac-12 Conference play. The last time the Women of Troy held a 12-2 record was in the 2015 season. USC extends their winning streak to eight-straight matches.

Oregon began the match by forfeiting the court three doubles to automatically give USC its first win. The Duck duo of Eshet/Kahfiani defeated USC's Weissmann/Willson 6-1 on court two to notch a win for Oregon. On court one, the Trojan tandem of No. 20 ranked Kulikov/Valdes beat Oregon's Nasser/Wagner 6-2 to claim the doubles point.

Before singles started, Oregon forfeited court six to give USC's Estella Jaeger a point. USC began singles with a 2-0 advantage. Trojan Constance Branstine closed out her match first with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Oregon's Julia Eshet on court four. Soon after, USC's Sydney Van Alphen defeated Duck Taryn Fujimori 6-0, 6-2 on court five to clinch the match for the Women of Troy. This is Van Alphen's second clinch of the 2019 season.

Although USC had already won the match, the remaining courts were played out. Oregon's Paiton Wagner defeated USC's Ana Neffa 6-1, 6-4 on court two and Duck Rifanty Kahfiani beat Trojan Becca Weissmann 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) on court three. Trojan Salma Ewing closed out the day with a win for the Trojans when she defeated Oregon's Daniela Nasser 3-6, 7-6 (2), 1-0 (10-6) on court one.

USC returns home after being on the road for a month for a big test as they challenge No.19 California on Friday (March 29) and No. 4 Stanford on Saturday (March 30).
