FIRST PITCH
Utah will host the Oregon Ducks for a weekend series beginning Saturday, March 30. The Utes and Ducks were originally going to play Friday, but due to inclement weather, they will now play a game on Saturday at 6 p.m. and a double header on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m.
Oregon will spend the entire week in Utah taking on BYU on Tuesday followed by Utah Valley on Wednesday before playing the Utes at Smith's Ballpark.
Utah currently sits at 7-12 overall and 1-5 in the Pac-12. Heading into the week, Oregon is 12-9 and sits at 2-4 in Pac-12 play. The Utes have taken on Arizona and No. 3 Stanford and Oregon has hosted Washington and Arizona State.
This will be Utah's first home game in Pac-12 play and it will be the Ducks first road games in Pac-12 play.
SERIES
Overall, Utah is 6-18 against Oregon.
The Ducks won the series last season, but overall Utah has won two of the last three against the Ducks.
UTES OFFENSE HAS SUCCESS
Utah's offense has had some big weekends at the plate and the team is hitting .279. That is the third best mark in the Pac-12.
Against Arizona, they scored 21 runs in the first game of the series. That is the most the Utes have scored this season and first time they have scored 20-plus runs since 2017 against Utah Valley. It was the fifth time this season that the Utes have scored double-digit runs.
Out of the seven wins the team has, they have scored double-digit runs in five of them.
Overall, Utah is in the top five in batting average, one base percentage, hits, runs scored and doubles.
DUNN ALWAYS ON BASE
Second baseman
Oliver Dunn has had a great start to the season hitting .355. He is first in the Pac-12 with 13 doubles and is 10th in the conference in OB% at .468. He's also ninth in the conference with a .592 slugging percentage.
Dunn had a career high six RBI in Friday night's game against Arizona going 3-6 at the plate with two doubles.
He leads the team scoring 23 runs and touched 45 bases.
Dunn has also been a warrior on the field through his career, starting in 123 of the 125 games he's seen action in.
SCHRAMM FILLS IN WHERE NEEDED
Freshman
Dustyn Schramm made his first two appearances in a Utah uniform on the first two Sunday games. He earned a save in the victory against Nevada and earned the win against San Diego in the second weekend.
Through those first two outings, he didn't allow a run in 4.1 innings pitched and has struck out four and only walked two while giving up four hits.
Against Stanford, he got his first career start. After a rocky start where he gave up five runs in the first two innings, he settled in only give up one more run over the next three innings allowing the Utes to get back into the game and force extra innings.
Against Grand Canyon, the freshman came out of the bullpen and set a career high with six strikeouts in 4.2 innings pitched.

Utah will play in-state foe BYU on Tuesday, April 2 at 6 p.m. in Smith's Ballpark.
It will be the first meeting between the two teams this season.
