Olmos, Coleman Earn Pac-12 All-Academic Honors

SAN FRANCISCO – Redshirt freshman Aaron Olmos and junior Bob Coleman earned their first Pac-12 Wrestling All-Academic selection as announced by Commissioner Larry Scott in San Francisco on Tuesday.
 
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and appear in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions.
 
Olmos was named as an All-Academic First Team selection for the first time in his career. The Public Health major carries a 3.53 overall GPA and was a starter for the Beavers at 165 pounds all season. The Imperial Beach, Calif. native finished his season 9-15 overall with a fourth place finish at the Pac-12 Championships.
 
Coleman, an Agricultural Business Management major carrying a 3.06 GPA, was named as an All-Academic Second Team selection for the first time in his career. The Hermiston native is coming off a successful season that saw him win his first Pac-12 individual title as well as his first berth to the NCAA Wrestling Championships. The junior finished the 2019 campaign with a 17-16 overall record.
