SAN FRANCISCO – As announced by the Pac-12 Conference Tuesday morning, three Sun Devils have been named to the Pac-12 Wrestling All-Academic teams. Graduate student
Christian Pagdilao was named to the First Team while
Josh Shields and
Austyn Harris were named to the Second Team.

To be eligible, student-athletes must have a minimum of a 3.0 overall GPA and appear in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions.

All-American
Christian Pagdilao capped his career on a high note with his first All-America honor and his second career Pac-12 title. After winning a Pac-12 championship as a freshman, Pagdilao bookended his career with another championship. He earns his first career First Team honor with a 3.44 GPA while getting his Master's of Science in Health Care Delivery.

Two-time All-American
Josh Shields earned his second consecutive All-America honors at the 2019 NCAA Wrestling Championships in Pittsburgh last week. Shields also won his third consecutive Pac-12 title, his first at 165 lbs after moving up a weight class from 157 the past two seasons. Shields is a Sports Business major and is two wins away from his 100th career victory as a Sun Devil.

Austyn Harris is a sociology and psychology double major as a redshirt senior and was the 197-pound starter for Arizona State this season, finishing his career at home as ASU hosted Pac-12 Championships in Tempe.
