Zach Poti (100 back) all notched All-American honors for Sun Devil men's swimming and diving on day three of the 2019 National Championships. The men's squad now totals eight All-Americans with one day left of competition.

After missing making the finals in one-meter yesterday,
Youssef Selim and
David Hoffer stormed back today in the three-meter to both earn a chance to compete in the consolation finals after a successful preliminary round. Selim took 14
th with a score of 353.15 while Hoffer followed just behind in 15
th at 352.40.

Returning in the finals, Hoffer took fourth (347.80) in the consolation heat for 12
th place overall, the highest finish of his career for the graduate student in his last season of eligibility. Selim followed in 8
th and 16
th overall (304.20) to secure All-American honors for both divers.

Racing to a then-fifth-fastest time in Arizona State history in the preliminary round, sophomore House took 12
th place with a mark of 1:32.66 to earn a spot in the consolation finals of the 200 freestyle. House returned later that evening in the finals for an even faster negative split, touching the wall at 1:32.29 for the third-fastest time in program history.

With the finish, House earned All-American honorable mention honors, the second of his career in the 200 free. House also became only the second Sun Devil in school history to go sub-1:32.50 in the 200 free and the first to do so since 2017.

Poti was the last to take the block for the maroon and gold, earning a spot in the consolation finals after taking 10
th place (45.14) in the preliminary round. He touched the wall at 45.12 in the finals for third place – 11
th overall – to put six points on the board for the Sun Devils and their fourth All-America honor of the day.

After three of four days, ASU has accumulated 36.5 points to sit in 22nd place.
