GOLD RIVER, Calif. – After a successful showing at the San Diego Crew Classic, the Cal women's rowing team heads to the familiar shows of Lake Natoma for this weekend' annual Lake Natoma Invitational. Spanning tow days, the Lake Natoma Invitational will give the Golden Bears the opportunity to continue testing their lineups and speed against top competition from across the country.

The Bears open Saturday's morning session racing against Tulsa and Notre Dame before squaring off against Miami and Gonzaga in the afternoon session. Sunday morning's session pits the Golden Bears – ranked No. 2 in the latest USRowing/CRCA Coaches' Poll – against No. 3 Stanford and No. 6 Brown. The varsity eight is coming off an impressive victory at the San Diego Crew Classic in which the Bears topped Washington and Texas for the Jessop-Whittier Cup Invitational.  

After the Stanford Invitational, the Bears will head to Seattle and the Montlake Cut, taking on rival Washington on Saturday, April 27.
