EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 48 University of Oregon men's tennis team wrapped its weekend on the road with a 4-0 loss Saturday afternoon to 11^th-ranked USC. With the setback, the Ducks fall to 13-7 overall and 1-5 in Pac-12 matches.
 
Up Next: Oregon returns to Eugene next weekend to host its final two matches of the regular season, beginning with a Friday contest against Stanford. The 2019 Pac-12 Championships will be held April 24-27 in Ojai, Calif.
 
With the doubles point in hand, USC (15-7, 5-1 Pac-12) jumped out to a quick 3-0 match advantage with wins at the No. 1 and 6 spots in the singles lineup. The Trojans took the opening set on all six courts but freshman Joshua Charlton responded to win set two on court four against Riley Smith.
 
The home team clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-4 win by No. 58 Tanner Smith on court five over the Ducks' Charles Roberts, each framed decided by just one break. At the time of the clinching decision, Charlton was in the early stages of the third and sophomore Riki Oshima was a game shy of extending his match to a third.
