SEATTLE -- The Washington Huskies (16-15) take a break from Pac-12 play at an ideal time, but the BYU Cougars (24-9) will be no picnic as they have won 6 of 8 series this season and have four wins over Power Five conference teams this season. This weekend's series will be played Thursday through Saturday with the first two games starting at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday's finale starting at 1:00 p.m.

The Huskies are 11-5 in non-conference action this season after an 11-1 victory on Monday at Santa Clara.

For those who cannot make it to the park, a live stream of the game will be hosted on the Pac-12 streaming platforms with Bill Abelson calling the action.

SERIES HISTORY VS. BYU
BYU leads the series, 21-13-1. This will mark the sixth three-game series between the two schools. Each team has won two of the series while they tied 1-1-1 in 2002. The two teams last met in 2011 with BYU winning the first two games of the series and the Huskies winning the finale in Seattle. The Huskies last series win came in 2008 when they took 2 of 3. The teams first met in 1967 with BYU winning that day, 7-4. The Cougars won each of the first seven games in the series before the Huskies finally won in 1990 for the first time.

Who's Hot
Jack Enger has 21 strikeouts over 12 innings and a 0.00 ERA in five April appearances. He has yet to allow an earned run in Pac-12 play. 
Nick Kahle has a 10-game hit streak and has reached safely in 19 games heading into the BYU series. In all, he has reached base is all but one game this season.
Connor Blair was 5-for-5 with two doubles and a walk on Monday at Santa Clara to raise his average from .235 to .271. He is the first Husky with five hits since Austin Rei in 2014. Blair also has an eight-game hit streak. 
Stevie Emanuels has a 0.00 ERA in April after five shutout appearances (7 IP, 2 H, 5 K).

Lots And Lots Of Kahle Is Good: Catcher Nick Kahle has been really, really good in 2019:
-- Leads team in the following categories (overall Pac-12 ranks):  .419 avg (1st, 10th nationally), .549 on-base pct (2nd, 3rd nationally), .648 slugging pct (5th), 34 RBI (T7th), 44 hits (9th), 6 HR (T10th).
– In Pac-12 play, he ranks 2nd in the following stats: avg (.471), slugging pct (.765), on-base pct (.594) and walks (16). 
– Enters the weekend with a 10-game hit streak (17x37, .459) and streak of reaching base in 19-straight games.
– Hitting team-high .429 (12x28) in April. 
– Has walked 31 times while striking out just 14 times.
– Has started 92 straight games - 87 at catcher, 3 starts at designated hitter and 2 in left field. 
– Thrown out 60 percent (9 of 15) base runners attempting to steal. 
– Hit team-high .414 in March with an on-base pct of .556. Collected 18 RBI in 17 games.
– Caught 536 out of a possible 553 innings (96.9%) behind the plate in 2018.

Jones Top-10: With Jordan Jones' next strikeout he wil move into a tie for 10th all-time in UW history at 179. He needs four to move all the way up to 8th all-time (list on Pg 3).  Last week was his 37th start on the hill, tying him for 10th most.

Experienced Pen:  The Huskies definitely have some experience in the bullpen with three relivers having made 50 or more appearances in their careers: Chris Micheles (54), Stevie Emanuels (52) and Leo Nierenberg (50).

Meggs Nearing 900:  Lindsay Meggs is four wins shy of reaching 900 in his 26-year coaching career.

Pays To Steal: The Huskies are 26-of-30 in stolen base attempts (86.6% success) while opponents are 10-for-21 (47.6%) success) in stolen bases against the Huskies.
