EUGENE, ORE. – The UCLA Bruins and STANFORD Cardinal top the field at 5-under (705) after two rounds of competition, while USC’s Justin Suh and UTAH’s Kyler Dunkle lead the individual race at 8-under (134) at the Pac-12 Men’s Golf Championships at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.

• UCLA was the only team to post under par scores in each of its first two rounds as it posted a 2-under 353 in the opening round and followed with a 3-under 352 in the second round. The Bruins were paced by senior Cole Madey who stands in third with a 6-under (136). Madey was tied for the lead after the opening round when he posted a score of 4-under 67.

• UCLA coach Derek Freeman on his team’s performance, “I just wanted our guys to fight and compete and do the best job they can. We were in it from the very beginning. I think when the team feels that, they get some momentum and it lasted all day.” On Cole Madey’s performance: “It was great. As a senior from Oregon, and to watch him perform well, I couldn’t be happier for him. It was a big up and down on the last hole to save a par and it gives us a little bit of momentum going into tomorrow.”

• UTAH’s Dunkle posted the day’s lowest score as he fired a 7-under (64) in the second round. He collected four birdies over his last six finishing holes to match Suh atop the leaderboard at 8-under after two rounds. On his performance, Dunkle responded, “The first round I played good golf, I just didn’t really capitalize. I didn’t make very many putts, didn’t make the birdies that I wanted to, I just played steady golf. The second round, the putts started to fall. I really played about the same, just made a few more putts. One of the keys was that I hit a lot of greens. Through the 36 holes I think I only missed three greens, so I just didn’t really get out of position a lot with my approaches, which was really helpful and led to a not very stressful day. Another big part of it too was the guys (UCLA’s Madey and COLORADO’s Daniel O’Loughlin) I was playing with were playing really well too. So, overall, all three of us were playing really well all day and feeding off each other, and having fun. There just wasn’t a lot of stress and not a lot to be mad about when you are on this course in this good weather.”

• Suh, the defending Pac-12 medalist and Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, finished the second round with eagle-birdie-birdie to match Dunkle at 8-under for the day. On his play today, Suh responded, “It was a good last three holes. I felt the same on hole 36 as I did on hole 1.”

• Stanford, which has won its last two events, rebounded from a 4-over opening round, to post the day’s lowest team score with a second round 9-under (346).

• Colorado’s O’Loughlin and Stanford’s Daulet Tuleubayev are tied for fourth at 5-under (137). Tuleubayev was the low freshman after two rounds.

• The third round will begin Tuesday at 9 a.m. PT. The Championships will conclude with the final round on Wednesday beginning at 8 a.m. PT. Pac-12 Networks will air live coverage of the final round starting at 2 p.m. PT/3 p.m. MT.
