Home Regatta Against Gonzaga Moved to Sunday

The regatta moved from Saturday due to expected high winds.

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State rowing's home dual regatta against Gonzaga, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 27, will move to Sunday, April 28, with racing scheduled to start at 9 a.m. at Wawawai Landing on the Snake River. The move is due to expected high winds Saturday.

Racing for the annual Fawley cup will begin at 9 a.m. with the third varsity eight and novice eight boats taking to the water. The varsity eight race will begin at 9:15 a.m., followed by the second varsity eight at 9:30 a.m., the varsity four at 9:45 a.m., and the second varsity fours finish the racing at 10 a.m. A more detailed preview can be found on the rowing page at www.wsucougars.com. 

Directions to Wawawai Landing: From Highway 195 (North or South), turn west on Wawawai Road at the blinking yellow light. Travel on Wawawai Road for 10 miles, the road will end at a stop sign. Turn right and drive six miles down into the canyon. Go past the county park on the right and over the railroad tracks. The boathouse is a cinderblock building on the right. Park on the side of the road or in the parking lot south of the boathouse.
