TEMPE, Ariz. – Three members of the Sun Devil Water Polo team were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Conference Teams, as announced by the MPSF on Thursday.

Junior Bente Rogge was selected to the All-MPSF second team for the second consecutive season after receiving All-MPSF Honorable Mention distinction her freshman year. Senior Maud Koopman was also selected as a second-team honoree, making it her second All-MPSF selection after being chosen to the All-MPSF Newcomer Team in her freshman campaign. The final selection of the three All-MPSF award winners was freshman Lieke Rogge, who was a part of a class of eight freshman student-athletes selected to the All-MPSF Newcomer Team.

Defender Bente Rogge was sensational from both the offensive and defensive end for the Sun Devils, accumulating 42 goals (1.83 goals/game) throughout the regular season which ranked 10th best in the conference. Her 12 multi-goal games ranked second best among her teammates, while also compiling seven games of three or more goals in a match. Throughout her All-conference season, Rogge went on to score in a team-high 18 consecutive matches with her career high single-game performance coming against San Diego State when she scored five goals.

Attacker Maud Koopman led the way for the Sun Devil scoring attack, as she hit the 50-goal mark (2.17 goals/game) for the first time in her career and was one of six players within the MPSF to score 50 or more goals. Koopman was as consistent as they come from the offensive end, scoring in 22 of 23 matches on the season.

Koopman ignited a fast start for the Sun Devils in the opening match of the season at the ASU Invitational #1, as she supplied five goals in a victory against Marist. She went on to accumulate a team-leading 15 multi-goal games in her fourth season.

The final inductee to be named as an All-MPSF member was freshman attacker Lieke Rogge. She showed off many highlight-reel plays throughout her first season, as she found the back of the net 26 times over the course of the regular season. Rogge found a knack for scoring multiple goals per contest as well, ranking third best among her teammates with eight.

The Rogge sisters became a dynamic duo during the course of the 2019 season, scoring a combined 68 goals. The two played off each other's energy as well, finding themselves both in the scoresheet in 14 of 23 matches.

The Sun Devils open play at the MPSF Championships in Palo Alto, Calif., on Friday (12:45 p.m.), when they face No. 3 UCLA . Fans can follow the action live via live stream by subscribing at http://www.mpsports.org/watch/ or via live stats at TheFosh.net.
