The USC men's basketball program has signed transfer guard Noah Baumann, it was announced by USC men's basketball head coach Andy Enfield today (April 25).  The current San Jose State sophomore Baumann will have to sit out the 2019-20 season due to transfer rules and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Baumann is a 6-6, 210-pound guard who was second on the San Jose team in scoring with a 10.8 average during the 2018-19 season.  Baumann made a school-record 81 three-point baskets last season, while making 45.5 percent from beyond the arc which was eighth-best among all NCAA players.  He has made at least one three-point basket in each of his last 29 games played, another school record he set at San Jose State.  Baumann also made 77.3 percent of his free throws during the 2018-19 season and scored in double figures 14 times with a high of 29 points vs. Utah State on Jan. 16, 2019.

Baumann, from Phoenix, Ariz., had the top two most efficient seasons in history from three-point range by a Spartan player, making 46.0 percent as a freshman and 45.5 percent as a sophomore for a career shooting percentage of 45.7 percent from three-point range.  He has made 44 starts and played in 61 games in his career and owns an 8.0 scoring average.

Baumann will join USC's previously announced recruiting class of 2019 McDonald's All-American forward Isaiah Mobley, 2018 California "Mr. Basketball" and 2019 L.A. Times Player of the Year forward Onyeka Okongwu, All-Southern California forward Max Agbonkpolo, All-Georgia Region 7 guard and All-State honorable mention Kyle Sturdivant and L.A. City Player of the Year Ethan Anderson.  In addition, USC is expected to have the services of Drake London, a USC football signee, who along with Mobley and Okongwu were named to the 10-man Los Angles All-Area men's high school basketball team.  USC also announced the signings of graduate transfers Quinton Adlesh on April 1 and Daniel Utomi on April 16.

USC's incoming class is a consensus top five group and USC has now had six consecutive top 30 classes under Enfield.
