STANFORD, Calif. – Fran Belibi, Jenna Brown and Haley Jones have accepted invitations to participate in the 2019 USA Women's U19 World Cup Team trials.
 
A total of 30 players will be at the trials to select the 12-member team, which will be held May 16-19 at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Training camp will follow July 5-19, with the U19 World Cup competition taking place July 20-28 in Bangkok, Thailand.
 
Belibi, who had a 16-point, 15-rebound double-double in last month's Jordan Brand Classic, is part of the Cardinal's heralded recruiting class, which is ranked second by espnW HoopGurlz. The first woman since Candace Parker in 2004 to win the Powerade Jam Fest dunk title at the McDonald's All-American Game and the No. 23 prospect in the country, Belibi scored 21.8 points per game this year and added 12.3 rebounds while earning Gatorade Player of the Year honors in Colorado.
 
A USA Basketball veteran, Belibi won gold medals with the United States at the 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup and 2017 FIBA?Americas U16 Championship. Last summer at the World Cup in Minsk, Belarus she averaged 8.0 points and 5.7 rebounds. She averaged 4.8 points and 5.8 rebounds at the Americas U16 Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
 
Brown just wrapped up her freshman season on The Farm, one in which she averaged 1.6 points in 34 games. She led the United States to gold at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship in Mexico City, Mexico in last August, averaging 7.5 points on 57.1 percent shooting, 2.8 assists and 2.3 rebounds in six games. Brown had her best performance in the semifinals against Colombia, scoring a team-high 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting.
 
She also won bronze at the FIBA U17 World Championships in Zaragoza, Spain in the summer of 2016 and made that 12-person roster out of a pool of 139 trial invitees. Brown appeared in all seven games and averaged 1.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists.
 
Jones, another incoming freshman, is the nation's consensus No. 1 recruit and Naismith and WBCA National High School Player of the Year. She averaged 26.1 points and 12.1 rebounds a game in her senior season and was also chosen as the Gatorade Player of the Year in California. Jones was named MVP of the Jordan Brand Classic on April 20 after scoring a game-high 17 points on 8-of-17 shooting to go with five rebounds and a game-high four assists.
 
Last summer, Jones won a gold medal with the United States at the FIBA U17 World Cup in Belarus, alongside Belibi. She was named to the all-tournament team after averaging 10.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in seven starts for Team USA.
