Volleyball to Host Pair of Spring Matches on May 25

05/14/19 | Women's Volleyball

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon volleyball fans can get an early look at the 2019 squad on Saturday, May 25, when the Ducks host Washington and Oregon State in a pair of spring exhibition matches at Matthew Knight Arena.

The Ducks, fresh off a thrilling run to the NCAA Elite Eight in the fall, will play UW at 11 a.m. before facing OSU at 3 p.m. The Beavers and Huskies will play in-between at 1 p.m. All matches will go four sets.

Admission is free. Fans can enter through the north entrance of MKA, with sections 101-105 open for seating.

The Ducks' spring squad is headlined by 2018 AVCA second-team all-American Ronika Stone as well as all-America honorable mention selections Willow Johnson and Brooke Nuneviller. Oregon also returns talented outsides Taylor Borup and Brooke Van Sickle from its Elite Eight team as well as middle blocker Karson Bacon and setter Kylie Robinson, the Ducks' top two 2018 recruits who redshirted last season as true freshmen.

Oregon will also have four newcomers competing in the spring, including transfer middle blocker Abby Hansen. Hansen spent her true freshman season at USC and will be a redshirt freshman for the Ducks in the fall. Three of the Ducks' 2019 recruits – setter Elise Ferreira, libero Georgia Murphy and outside hitter Taylor Williams – are also on campus already and will be in action in the exhibitions. Three more incoming freshmen – defensive specialist Bea Wetton, middle blocker/right side Morgan Lewis and outside hitter Alex Leita – will round out the 2019 roster in the fall.

Season tickets for the 2019 volleyball season are on sale now. Courtside reserved season tickets are available for $250, with reserved seats going for $100 and general admission season tickets on sale for just $49.
