SAN FRANCISCO – The University of Utah women's tennis program landed three student-athletes on the 2019 Pac-12 All-Academic teams, highlighted by senior
Brianna Chisholm earning her third straight first-team honor.
Chisholm, who was also named the 2019 Pac-12 Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is wrapping up her degree in human development and family studies with a 3.97 GPA. Chisholm is one of three Utes that have earned three first-team selections, joining
Jena Cheng (2018, 2017, 2016) and Callie Craig (2014, 2013, 2012).
Chisholm was solid for the Utes on the No. 1 courts for singles and doubles. She finished with nine singles wins, including two over ranked opponents while also rising to No. 49 nationally in doubles with partner
Madison Tattini.
Whitney Hekking earned second-team honors for the second straight year, also pursuing a degree in human development and family studies. She holds a 3.74 GPA after having a breakout junior season, compiling 11 singles wins at the No. 5 position.
Leah Heimuli rounds out Utah's all-academic selections after being named to the honorable mention squad. The sophomore played at the No. 6 singles position this season while also working on her degree in business administration.
