DUE TO EXPECTED INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE START TIME FOR SUNDAY'S REGATTA HAS BEEN MOVED UP TO 8:00 A.M.

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's rowing team is slated to race at the 2019 Pac-12 Rowing Championships this Sunday, May 19 at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif.
 
Four Oregon State crews – the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, Third Varsity 8 and Varsity 4+ - will go toe-to-toe with some of the top competition the nation has to offer. No. 19-ranked OSU will race against crews from No. 1 Washington, No. 2 California, No. 3 Stanford, No. 15 USC, UCLA and Washington State. Both the Bruins and Cougars have been consistently receiving votes in the weekly polls.
 
Racing is slated to begin at 9 a.m. with the Men's Varsity 4+, with the first women's race slated at 9:45 a.m. when the 3V8 takes the course.
 
Each category will be a seven-lane race to determine the champion. Each race is worth points to determine the team champion with the Varsity 8 being the most heavily weighted category. First place in the V8 earns a team 21 points, while the Second Varsity 8 champion earns 14 points. Lastly, the Varsity 4+ winner earns seven points for the team, while the 3V8 winner earns 3.5 points.
 
Race Schedule
8:45 a.m. – Third Varsity 8
9:15 a.m. – Varsity 4+
9:45 a.m. – Second Varsity 8
10:15 a.m. – Varsity 8

Following the conclusion of racing on Sunday, there will be a team/fan taco BBQ lunch for those fans in attendance for $10 per person. The BBQ will take place under the Oregon State sponsored tent located along the beach toward the finish line.

Scoring
The Varsity 4 winner will earn seven team points, with the 3V8 earning 3.5 points towards thdetail into the article? It is important and will end up making a big difference in terms of team scoring.

Course
The 2,000-meter course is located on Lake Natoma along the American River between the Folsom Dam and Nimbus Dam, in the metropolitan area of Sacramento.
 
Television Coverage
The Pac-12 Championships will be shown on tape delay on the Pac-12 Networks, Wednesday, May 22 at 7 p.m.
