TEMPE, Ariz. – Maxime Cressy and Keegan Smith have been named ITA Southwest Region award winners, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Saturday.

Cressy earned the Senior Player of the Year honor, while Smith was picked as Player to Watch. National award winners will be announced Sunday. The ITA award is the first of Cressy's career. Smith was previously named Southwest Region Rookie of the Year in 2018.

Already a first-time All-America selection, Cressy holds a 21-0 record in doubles play. He is 18-0 in dual matches. The tandem of Cressy and Smith is ranked a career-high (for each player) No. 2 in the nation by ITA and was deemed the Pac-12 Doubles Team of the Year. Individually, Cressy is 15-3 in singles play and has found a home among the nation's top 20 players, reaching a career-best No. 17. Cressy was named a First-Team honoree by the Pac-12 for the first time in his career and he twice earned the Pac-12 Player of the Week award.

An All-America selection for the second time in his career, Smith is 22-2 in doubles matches. Like Cressy, he is undefeated, at 17-0. He also earned membership in the All-Pac-12 First Team. The Pac-12 Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season, Smith was pivotal to the Bruins' fourth consecutive Pac-12 regular-season championship. The San Diego native is 23-5 in singles matches, including a 15-2 mark in dual matches.

Cressy and Smith will participate in the singles and doubles tournaments at the NCAA Championships in Orlando, Fla., set to run Monday, May 20 through Friday, May 25. The pair is seeded second in the doubles draw, with both also announced for the singles play. Freshman Govind Nanda has also been selected to participate in the singles tournament as an alternate.
