Rotsaert Completes NCAA Singles

Freshman falls to Georgia's Emil Reinberg

ORLANDO – Freshman Alexandre Rotsaert fell to Georgia's Emil Reinberg in the first round of the NCAA Singles Championships Monday morning at the USTA National Campus.
 
Rotsaert, ranked No. 63 in the ITA poll, dropped a 6-2, 7-5 decision to Reinberg, ranked No. 38. The freshman completed his season 19-10 overall with a 12-8 mark in dual competition, competing at the No. 1 and No. 2 spot all season.
 
He earned Second Team All-Pac-12 honors in his first season on The Farm, earning a top-100 ranking in the ITA poll all season. Rotsaert also played No. 1 doubles for the Cardinal, winning 13 matches with teammate Axel Geller. The duo was No. 21 in the latest ITA poll.
 
As a team, Stanford completed the 2019 season ranked No. 13 in the ITA poll. The Cardinal advanced to the Super Regional round of the NCAA Championships, dropping a 4-2 decision at No. 5 Virginia on May 11. The Cardinal finished the season with a 19-7 overall record with a top-25 ranking all season.
