TUCSON -- Four members of the Arizona beach volleyball team were named to the Pac-12 all-academic teams, the conference announced. Sophomore
Jonny Baham was named first-team and junior
Natalie Anselmo was named to the second team. Junior
Brooke Burling and senior
Mia Mason were named to the honorable mention.
Baham, a first-team Pac-12 all-academic honoree, carries a perfect 4.00 GPA while majoring in physiology. She is one of two qualifying players in the conference to have a 4.00 GPA. Baham is making her first career appearance on the Pac-12 all-academic team. The sophomore went 22-7 this season, with the majority of her action coming in UA's No. 2 pair (13-5) with
Brooke Burling.
Natalie Anselmo was named to the second team; she has a 3.53 GPA as a junior majoring in accounting. This is Anselmo's second consecutive second-team all-academic award. The junior went 26-3 this season, including 17-0 with partner
Madison Rigdon as Arizona's No. 3 pair; the duo ws named AVCA's Top Flight for all No. 3 pairs across the country.
Burling and Mason were named to the honorable mention for the second straight year.
