Pac-12 Networks announces 2019-20 men’s basketball broadcast schedule
Pac-12 Networks again to deliver more live coverage of Pac-12 men’s basketball than any other network, with 150 total games this season
SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 today announced broadcast schedules for the 2019-20 men’s basketball season, which will include 150 total games on Pac-12 Networks. The regular season tips off with four games on Tuesday, Nov. 5, all airing across Pac-12 Networks, and kicking off with defending Pac-12 Tournament champion and 2019 NCAA Sweet 16 participant Oregon facing off against Fresno State at 6 p.m. PT. The season will once again culminate in Las Vegas with the 2020 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament presented by New York Life from T-Mobile Arena, with Pac-12 Networks going live from on-site and airing eight of the tournament’s 11 games.
With 150 live games, Pac-12 Networks will again feature more Pac-12 action for men’s basketball than any other network. In total, each program will be featured at least 12 times: Arizona (15), Arizona State (15), California (21), Colorado (12), Oregon (13), Oregon State (16), Stanford (20), UCLA (12), USC (13), Utah (19), Washington (12) and Washington State (20).
Prior to the start of the regular season, Pac-12 Networks will begin its schedule with four exhibition games, beginning with Arizona’s annual Red-Blue Game live from McKale Center on Friday, Sept. 27. Other exhibition matches on Pac-12 Networks will include tilts for USC, UCLA and Utah.
Of the 150 total games on Pac-12 Networks, 46 will feature regular-season conference matchups, beginning on Thursday, Jan. 2. Once Conference play begins, Saturdays on Pac-12 Networks will be home for the most Pac-12 action, including four games on Feb. 1 and a triple-header to end the regular season just ahead of the 2020 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 9.
Non-conference matchups during the regular season will feature a total of 104 games on Pac-12 Networks, including Oregon State vs. Iowa State and Arizona vs. Illinois matchups during opening week, Minnesota at Utah on Friday, Nov. 15, Georgia at Arizona State on Saturday, Dec. 14, and Boston College versus California in the Basketball HOF Al Attles Classic at the new Chase Center on Saturday, Dec. 21.
For the first time since 2014-15, three head coaches will make their Pac-12 debuts this season in California’s Mark Fox, UCLA’s Mick Cronin and Washington State’s Kyle Smith. The trio has averaged 20.9 wins and combined for 16 NCAA Tournament appearances and 27 total postseasons in 39 years of head coaching experience.
Prior to game action, coverage of the 2019-20 season will begin on Pac-12 Network with the 2019 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Media Day on Tuesday, Oct. 8. More information regarding coverage that day will be announced at a later date.
