Woolsey, Hou earn September golfer of the month honors

SAN FRANCISO - The Pac-12 announce today that WASHINGTON's Noah Woolsey and ARIZONA's Vivian Hou have been named Pac-12 Men's and Women's Golfers of the Month for September. 

Pac-12 Men’s Golfer of the Month: NOAH WOOLSEY, WASHINGTON (Jr., Pleasanton, Calif.)
• Opened the month of September with a tie for first at the Husky Invitational where he carded a 6-under 138 (70-68).
• A week later, Woolsey took medalist honors at the Old Town Club Collegiate in Winston-Salem, N.C. He posted a winning score of 15-under 195 (66-66-63) in a field that included No. 2 Wake Forest, No. 11 Louisville, No. 18 West Virginia and No. 19 Penn State.
• All five rounds in the month were under par, highlighted by his closing round at the Old Town Club Collegiate where he shot a 7-under 63.
• His September performance vaulted him to No. 7 on the Golfweek individual rankings and helped the team to a national ranking at No. 4.

Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Month: VIVIAN HOU, ARIZONA (Fr., Taipei, Thailand)
• The freshman wasted little time in making her mark on the collegiate women’s golf scene. Hou posted an 8-under 208 (68-72-68) in her collegiate debut to finish second at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in Lake Elmo, Minn. (Royal Golf Club). The field included defending NCAA champion Duke and last year’s match play finalists Wake Forest, Arkansas, Texas and USC, as well as top-20 ranked Arizona State, UCLA, South Carolina and Alabama.
• Hou’s performance led to a No. 3 individual ranking in the latest Golfweek rankings.
