ITA Regional Finals Set for Monday at LATC

LOS ANGELES – The women's ITA Southwest Regional Championships singles and doubles final rounds, scheduled for Monday, have been relocated from San Diego to Los Angeles Tennis Center at UCLA and will feature two all-Bruin matches.

Play from LATC will begin at 10 a.m., PT with the doubles championship. The top-seeded pair of Abi Altick and Taylor Johnson, ranked 37th by Oracle/ITA, will take on fourth-seeded newcomers Abbey Forbes and Annette Goulak. Forbes and Goulak upset third-seeded Eryn Cayetano and Danielle Willson of USC, 8-5, on Sunday.

At the conclusion of the doubles match, top-seeded Jada Hart will face off against eighth-seeded Forbes, who has won eight of her first nine contests as a Bruin. Neither player has lost a set in the tournament, with Forbes notching seeded wins versus 10th-seeded Satsuki Takamura of Hawai'i (6-3, 6-0), third-seeded and 34th-ranked Salma Ewing of USC (6-3, 6-2) and ninth-seeded Anastasia Iamachkine of Pepperdine (6-3, 6-0).

Regional doubles and singles champions qualify for the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships in Newport Beach, Calif from Nov. 6-10.
