Pac-12 announces volleyball players of the week

Offensive: Kara Bajema, SR, OH, Washington (Lynden, Wash.)
4.50 KPS, .306 Pct., 0.25 APS, 2.00 DPS, 1.00 BPS, 5.4 PPS
• Led Washington to a 2-0 week, topping Colorado (3-0) and No. 15 Utah (3-2) to help UW take sole possession of second place in the Pac-12. 
• Recorded a career-high 33 points against the Utes, good for the most points in a single match by a Husky since 2013.
•  Posted 36 kills on the week, bringing her career total to 1,309, the sixth-most in program history. 
• Named Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season and earns Washington’s 72nd all-time weekly award.   

Defensive: Courtney Leffel, SR, LB, Arizona State (Flagstaff, Ariz.)
5.00 DPS, 1.50 APS
• Helped Arizona State defeat Oregon State (3-2) and Oregon (3-2), sweeping the season series against both Oregon schools for the first time since 2002.
• Had over 20 digs in each match this week, extending a three-match streak of recording 20 or more digs in a match.
• Posted 50 digs on the week, bringing her career dig total to 1,450, the sixth-most in Sun Devil history.
• Collects her second-career Defensive Player of the Week award, Arizona State’s 24th all-time weekly nod.

Freshman: Kamaile Hiapo, FR, LB, Arizona (Mesa, Ariz.)
5.00 DPS, 1.00 APS
• Averaged 5.00 digs per set in Arizona's road sweep of Oregon (3-0) and Oregon State (3-2).
• Recorded a career-high 29 digs in the Wildcats’ victory over the Beavers, tied for the 11th most digs in a match in school history.
• Her 29 digs while facing the Beavs gave her 301 this season, the fifth freshman in program history to cross the 300-dig plateau. 
• Recorded double-digit digs in both matches, her 14th and 15th matches this season with at least 10 digs.
• Earns first Freshman of the Week honor this season and Arizona’s fifth all-time freshman award.
