USC selected first in 2020 Pac-12 Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll

SAN FRANCISCO - USC was voted first in the 2020 Pac-12 Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll as announced by the Conference office today. The Trojans garnered 27 points and three first-place votes to finish atop the poll. USC is the reigning Pac-12 Champion and is the favorite to win the third rendition of the championship.

COLORADO was selected to finish second in the coaches poll with 26 points and two first-place votes. Colorado earned an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA Tournament where the Buffs advanced to the second round.

STANFORD tallied 25 points to rank third in the preseason poll. ARIZONA STATE was slated fourth with 16 points, while CALIFORNIA was voted fifth with 15 points. OREGON rounded out the poll in sixth with 11 points. 

No. 16 USC leads three Conference teams ranked in the IWLCA Preseason Poll, joined by No. 18 Colorado and No. 20 Stanford. The 2020 Pac-12 Women’s Lacrosse season kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 8 with four road matches and a home matchup of Oregon versus Liberty University at 1 p.m. PST.

Stanford will host the Pac-12 Tournament in Palo Alto from April 23-26 at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.

The following are the results of the preseason coaches’ poll. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team.
