The Bruins were unanimously selected as the No. 1 team in the nation in the two major collegiate softball polls, the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll, as announced on Tuesday.

UCLA picked up all 32 first-place votes in the NFCA poll and all 20 first-place nods in the USA Softball ranking. The Bruins were ranked first in both polls during the last four weeks of the season, which was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In additional news, Softball America and Justin's World of Softball both released shortened season awards. Redshirt junior Aaliyah Jordan and sophomore Megan Faraimo were named Softball America All-America First Team, while junior Briana Perez picked up Third Team All-America honors. Freshman Maya Brady was recognized on Justin's World of Softball's All-Freshman Team.
