Pac-12 News Release

SAN FRANCISCO – Five USC beach volleyball student-athletes were named to the Pac-12's Spring Academic Honor Roll on Monday, June 8.
Among Women of Troy honored are graduate student Belen Castillo (Merced, Calif./Golden Valley HS), senior Cammie Dorn (Laguna Beach, Calif./Laguna Beach HS), sophomore Mollie Ebertin (Saratoga, Calif./Saint Francis HS), junior Haley Hallgren (Southlake, Texas/Carroll HS), and sophomore Karina Myszkowski (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Mira Costa HS).
A total of 867 student-athletes were recognized for their work in the classroom throughout the conference. Any student-athlete on his or her respective team roster with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or above, and who has served at least one year in residence at the institution, is eligible to receive all-academic honors. There is no longer a selection process to determine all-academic teams for each sport. Any student-athlete who qualifies will be named to the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll during the season in which he/she competes.
Castillo is completing degree progress towards a Master of Arts in strategic public relations. Dorn graduated in May with a degree in psychology. Ebertin is majoring in sociology. Hallgren received her degree following three years of instruction in business administration and will continue degree progress towards a Master of Science in entrepreneurship and innovation. Myszkowski is majoring in communication.
The Spring Academic Honor Roll includes student-athletes who participated in the Conference-sponsored sports of baseball, beach volleyball, men's and women's golf, lacrosse, men's and women's rowing, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field.
The Women of Troy went 6-5 in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Each of USC's losses were by narrow 3-2 decisions under first-year head coach Dain Blanton in his first year with the Trojans. A three-time national champion, USC finished as the NCAA runner-up in 2019 and claimed the program's third Pac-12 Championship with a dramatic 3-2 win over crosstown rival UCLA. 11 different Women of Troy have earned the program's 20 AVCA All-America certificates including returning junior Sammy Slater (2019).
