Five Ute Gymnasts Named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Five University of Utah gymnasts – Hunter Dula, Abby Paulson, Missy Reinstadtler, Jaedyn Rucker and Kim Tessen – have earned Scholastic All-American honors from the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) for the 2019-20 academic year.
Student-athletes named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans have posted an overall grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the school year.
Reinstadtler, who will be the program's student coach this year while completing her biology degree, rounded out her career as a four-time selection by the WCGA. Tessen earned her third Scholastic All-American honor to close out her Ute career. The Orem, Utah native graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
Dula completed her abbreviated career as a two-time honoree while studying kinesiology. Rising sophomores Paulson and Rucker earned distinctions for the first time.
Reinstadtler, Tessen and Dula were all named to the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll earlier this year. In May, Utah gymnastics earned an NCAA Public Recognition award for posting a score in the top-10 percent of the nation's college gymnastics programs based on its multiyear Academic Progress Rate (APR). The Ute gymnasts earned a perfect APR score for the sixth straight season.
