TUCSON, Ariz. — Sixteen members of the Arizona Gymnastics program were honored this week with selections to the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association Academic All-America roster.

The Wildcats posted a 3.7247 team GPA that clocked in as the 16th best mark in the nation and the second highest in the Pac-12. Arizona's 16 Academic All-Americans are the most in the conference.

The 16 GymCats honored by the WCGA were: redshirt senior Haylie Hendrickson, seniors Christina Berg, Courtney Cowles, Jenny Leung, Maddi Leydin, and Heather Swanson, juiniors Payton Bellows, Sydney Freiden, and Laura Leigh Horton, sophomore Kennedi Davis and MacKinzie Kane, and freshmen Zaza Brovedani, Sirena Linton, Danielle Nosek, Libby Orman, and Avery Stauffacher.

"Myself and staff are incredibly proud of our team for their amazing academic achievements this past season," head coach John Court said. "They are a committed group that choose to thrive and are very deserving of this recognition. Additionally, I want to thank our team academic advisor, Sarah Barber, for her tireless efforts in guiding each member of our team."

Sixteen honorees sets a program record for the GymCats, shattering the previous high mark of 11 Academic All-Americans set during the 2018-19 season.
