Introducing U To Lucy Stanhope

Hailing from Warrington, England, freshman Lucy Stanhope joined the Red Rocks a few weeks ago in time for the start of the school year. Stanhope, a former Great Britain National Team member, brings a wealth of international experience to Utah.

Stanhope represented silver-medal Team England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and was also a part of silver-medal Team Great Britain at the 2016 Junior European Championships. Additionally, she was an alternate for Team Great Britain at the 2018 World Championships. 

Aside from her team experience, Stanhope also excelled individually to catch the eye of the Utah coaches. Stanhope placed second on beam and fourth in the all-around at the 2017 English Championships. In 2018, she recorded a fourth-place finish in the all-around at the British Championships and fifth-place finish in the all-around at the English Championships.
