Senior Gabriela Ruffels is one of six amateurs teeing off this week in the LPGA major ANA Inspiration beginning Thursday (Sept. 10), an exemption she earned with her 2019 U.S. Amateur win.
Ruffels, who recently played in the Women's British Open won by Trojan alum Sophia Popov, will join three other Trojan pros in the ANA field at the Mission Hills C.C. in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Ruffels will tee off Thursday in one of the last pairings off of 1 at 1:54 p.m. PT. Former Trojan teammates Jennifer Song (1) and Lizette Salas (10) will both tee off at 8:18 a.m. while Annie Park will start off of 10 at 12:15 p.m.
Song is 20th on the LPGA money list this season ($194,404) while Salas is 43rd ($104,400) and Park 49th ($89,376).
Ruffels repeated as a 2020 U.S. Amateur finalist last month, falling in the second playoff hole. She followed that with her appearance at the Women's Open, where she missed the cut by one shot.
Golf Channel will air coverage of the first two rounds from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT and from 4 to 6 p.m. PT and the final two rounds from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
