Feature Friday Series: Meghan Curtin
Starting off our Feature Friday Series for the 2020-21 season we have Cohoctan, N.Y., native Meghan Curtin. She is a graduate transfer from Quinnipiac and was a three-time MAAC All-Academic recipient.

During her senior year, she claimed victories in the 800m and 4x800 while leading the Bobcats to a MAAC Indoor Championships. Then at the ECAC Championships, Curtin ran a PR time of 2:11.4 in the 800m. As a junior, she landed two top-5 finishes at the MAAC Outdoor Championships, taking 5th in the 800m and 3rd as a member of the 4x800 team.
Curtin is currently in the molecular biology PhD program at The U and previously graduated with a double major in molecular biology and immunology from Quinnipiac.
She grew up in a small town in western New York and has a younger sister, Mackenzie, who is attending the United States Military Academy at West Point. Her passion for running developed through sharing moments with her father, who ran collegiately at Le Moyne, and grandfather during family reunions and holidays.
Q: What is your favorite color?
Q: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
A: Switzerland, I love the mountains and think that being able to travel and experience all the different cultures in Europe would be amazing.
Q: Who is your biggest athletic inspiration?
A: Elle Purrier and Abby Wambach
Q: What's your favorite food?
A: Any type of pasta
Q: What is your favorite song/artist at the moment?
A: If you could see me now by The Script
Q: If you had a superpower, what would it be?
A: Teleportation, there are just so many beautiful places in the world to see.
Q: If you could be friends with any celebrity who would it be?
A: Bear Grylls, just imagine all of the cool adventures we could go on!
Q: What is your favorite part of being at the University of Utah?
A: The access to all sorts of different experiences. I am able to enjoy all the benefits of being in a city with the ability to leave and explore the beautiful mountains within 30 minutes.

Q: What is your dream job?
A: To hopefully work at a collegiate institution where I can teach and mentor students in research with the future potential to coach track and field
