SAN FRANCISCO - The 2020 Pac-12 football schedule is set and Pac-12 Networks is bringing fans the latest schedule reactions on an exclusive installment of “Pac-12 Playlist: Football Schedule 2020,” airing tonight at 8 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Network and the Pac-12 Now app.

Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal, USC head coach Clay Helton and Pac-12 Senior Associate Commissioner, Football Operations Merton Hanks join hosts Ashley Adamson and Yogi Roth to discuss the 2020 Pac-12 football schedule and break down this season’s matchups. Cristobal talks about what Duck fans can look forward to this fall and the importance of maintaining the Oregon culture throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Helton discusses kicking off the season at 9 a.m. PT against Pac-12 South-foe Arizona State and how the Trojans have been preparing for the 2020 campaign.

“At the end of the day right now I think the entire country is playing playoff football,” said Cristobal. “Everybody is in an elimination-type game, possibly, every single week, every time you set foot on the field. There’s going to be a give and a take for everybody, and I think that the most important thing that we say along the lines of our processes is we attack them, we don’t look for any issue with it or anything that might be uncomfortable. We welcome every bit of every challenge that comes with whatever, and we see it strictly as opportunity, so we are fired up.”

Hanks discusses the schedule-making process, including how the conference determined the crossover games, and how competitive the schedule is.

“There’s some tough games scattered in every portion of the schedule,” said Hanks. “Tried to give our institutions every opportunity to impress not only our peers within the conference, but the CFP and our bowl partners moving forward. I have to believe our student-athletes, our coaches, everyone associated with our football programs are excited about what we’ve put forth.”
