TUCSON, Ariz. – Talya Zandberg, Khim Iglupas, Kayla Wilkins, Gitte Heynemans and Abby Amos will be competing unattached at the 2020 ITA Fall Circuit this weekend starting on Oct. 10 at the Reffkin Tennis Center in Tucson.

The group of Wildcats will be competing in a five-round tournament. The round of 32 and round of 16 will take place on Saturday, the quarterfinals and semifinals will take place on Sunday and the championship will take place on Monday, Oct. 12. Zandberg earned a bye to the round of 16.

"I know the girls are excited to get back competing," head coach Ryan Stotland said. "It has been a while since competition has been allowed due to the pandemic, but I know they will make the most of this opportunity and will get better, which is what this is all about."

Last season, Amos won nine singles matches before the season was cut short. Prior to arriving at Arizona, she played at James Madison and won 32 singles matches and helped JMU win their first CAA Championship.

Heynemans finished last season with 14 wins, the best on the team. She maintained a winning record while playing doubles with Iglupas and had crucial wins over top teams including Washington and Kansas State.

Iglupas won 10 singles matches in her first year at Arizona, with wins over Arkansas, UNLC and New Mexico State.

Wilkins also had 14 singles wins in a tremendous freshman season, including wins over Santa Clara and Kansas State while also playing at the No. 1 spot in doubles for the majority of the season.

Zandberg also won 14 singles matches at the No. 1 spot in the lineup and maintained a winning record in the fall and spring seasons combined.
