Hannah Sorensen Joins Utah Volleyball as Volunteer Assistant
Hannah Sorensen joins the Utah volleyball program after graduating from the University of Miami to be the team's volunteer assistant for the upcoming season.
After playing setter for the Canes for two seasons, she gained experience as a student coach at the University of Miami, where she worked closely with the setters and was heavily involved in offensive game planning.
While in her playing career, she is tied for the second most assists in Miami history with 64 in a match against Notre Dame. Sorensen also totaled 60 service aces in her two seasons.
She was named to the All-ACC Academic team after both seasons she competed (2016/2017) and graduated from Miami with a Bachelors of Science in Creative Advertising.
While becoming a student coach, Sorensen got involved at the club level during her time in Miami, facilitating club-wide setters training sessions while assisting with teams at Miami Elite Volleyball Club. She coached a variety of camps and clinics, including Gold Medal Squared camps.
Sorensen is originally from Sandy, Utah and played for the Jordan High School Beetdiggers. She earned second team All-State honors helping her team make it to the state tournament twice, as well as win a region championship title.
She grew up following Utah volleyball and attending their summer camps.
