Stanford joined the NFL in celebrating #NationalTightEndsDay on Sunday. With more tight ends drafted since 2010 than any school (8), the most tight ends on NFL Opening Weekend active rosters nine straight season and five Pro Bowl selections the last three seasons, Stanford can certainly stake its claim as #TightEndU.

Quick Hitters

  • Henry Anderson had three tackles, including one tackle for loss, in an 18-10 loss to Buffalo on Sunday.
  • J.J. Arcega-Whiteside had one catch for eight yards in the Eagles' 22-21 victory on Thursday Night Football against the Giants.
  • Jake Bailey punted twice with a net of 45.0 yards in the Patriots' 33-6 loss to San Francisco. He did not allow a return on either punt and leads the NFL with only three punt returns allowed this season.
  • David DeCastro played all 79 offensive snaps and allowed just one pressure on 54 pass-blocking snaps as the Steelers improved to 6-0 for the first time since 1978 with a 27-24 win at Tennessee. He had the top pass blocking grade by Pro Football Focus for the Steelers in his first game back from injury.
  • Cameron Fleming started at right tackle in the Giants' 22-21 loss at Philadelphia on Thursday Night Football.
  • Nate Herbig started at right guard in the Eagles' 22-21 win vs. the Giants on Thursday Night Football.
  • Blake Martinez made nine tackles, two QB hits and one pass defensed in the Giants' one-point loss to the Eagles on Thursday Night Football. Martinez's 73 tackles this season are second-most in the NFL while his 42 solo tackles are third-most. The Giants second- and third-leading tacklers have combined for just 75 total tackles this season.
  • Trent Murphy had three tackles, two QB hits and one-half sack in the Bills' 18-10 win over the Jets. He led all NFL EDGE defenders with a 92.1 defensive grade by PFF.
  • Andrus Peat started at left guard and played all 70 offensive snaps in the Saints' 27-24 win over Carolina. He allowed just one pressure in the victory.
  • Justin Reid made four tackles in the Texans' 35-20 loss to Green Bay.
  • Brennan Scarlett played 35 total snaps in Houston's 35-20 loss to Green Bay.  
  • Dalton Schultz had two catches for 22 yards in the Cowboys' loss to Washington.
  • Kaden Smith started and made one tackle in a one-point loss to Philadelphia on Thursday Night Football.
  • Michael Thomas had two tackles on 35 total snaps, and recovered an onside kick, in the Texans' 35-20 loss to the Packers.
  • Levine Toilolo played 19 total snaps in the Giants' loss to the Eagles.
  • James Vaughters made two tackles and played 32 total snaps in the Bears' 24-10 loss to the Rams on Monday Night Football.
