Utah Golf Adds Two To 2021-22 Squad

Nov 10, 2020

SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah men's golf head coach Garrett Clegg announced the addition of Joseph Lloyd and Zack Neff to the Utes 2021-22 squad on National Signing Day today, giving Utah depth to an already strong roster.

"This is a smaller class for us and we are thrilled with the level of players we are bringing into our golf program," Clegg said. "We expect them to be ready to step up and improve our team the moment they arrive on campus."

Between state championships, all-state selections and multiple amateur highlights, Neff and Lloyd will bring experience to next year's squad. Lloyd comes to the Utes after a standout career at Pinnacle High School in Scottsdale, Ariz. while Neff, who played golf at Olympus HS, is continuing his career with the Utes after returning from his church mission.

He is a golf junkie that eats, sleeps, and breaths golf.  I first met Joseph at a prospect camp two years ago. I know his instructor Rob Rashell from college and he tipped me off about Joseph's special skill sets. We have followed his progress through junior golf in Arizona and he has made impressive strides each year. He is currently ranked 45th in the 2021 class by National Junior Golf Scoreboard. We are thrilled to have Joseph joining our golf program this fall."
