Sun Devil Baseball Inks 11 to Initial 2021 Signing Class

TEMPE -- The Sun Devil Baseball program welcomed 11 members to its initial 2021 Signing Class, as announced by head coach Tracy Smith today.
 
"We could not be more pleased with the group assembled in this class.  Obviously, the logistics of recruiting changed drastically over the last year because of Covid-19 whereby schools and families had to more flexible during the recruiting process," Smith said. "However, even with the challenges, we feel like this class is another strong addition to the type of person AND talent we are looking for when building our roster at Arizona State. I am happy for the kids, and I am happy for our program."
 
The class features spots all over the diamond, with two outfielders, four infielders, four pitchers (three RHP and one LHP) and a catcher. There are nine high school signees and two junior college transfers 
 
The signees feature five Top-10 overall prospects out of their state – including three players that are ranked as the top position player overall within their own state. Out of the hot bed of talent in California, the Sun Devils picked up three of the Top-60 players in the state. All nine of the high school signees are regarded as Top-500 prospects nationally.
