Trojan Olympic Aquatic Heritage Webinar Set

Nov 16, 2020

The USC Olympian virtual speaker series continues on Nov. 18, highlighting Troy's remarkable Olympic aquatic heritage.

The online webinar showcasing talent from both the USC swim/dive and water polo programs will begin with a moderated Q&A with Olympians and then open up to questions from the public, beginning at 4 p.m. PT on Wed. Nov. 18.

Swimming legend John Naber (four gold medals and a silver at the 1976 Olympics) will host the round table discussion, featuring Trojan swimming stars Ous Mellouli (gold in 2008, gold and bronze in 2012) and Kaitlin Sandeno (bronze in 2000, gold, silver and bronze in 2004) as well as water polo stalwarts J.W. Krumpholz (silver in 2008) and Kaleigh Gilchrist (gold in 2016).

The free one-hour online webinar, which is part of the "Cardinal & Gold Conversations with USC Olympians," is sponsored by the Trojan Athletic Fund and the Heritage Association.

USC has produced more Olympians, medalists and gold medalists than any other U.S. university.  A Trojan has won a gold medal at every Summer Olympics since 1912.
