Cal-Oregon State Postgame Notes

  • Chase Garbers finished the game 28-for-42 for 315 yards and 3 touchdowns. Both his completions and attempts were career bests (previous: 23-35 at Ole Miss, 2019). He also had at least three TD passes for the fifth time in his career.
  • The 52-yard pass from Garbers to Makai Polk in the second quarter was Cal's first pass of at least 50 yards since a 52-yarder from Devon Modster to Polk vs. Washington State on Nov. 9, 2019.
  • Kekoa Crawford's 44-yard catch in the first quarter was the longest career reception of his career. He finished the game with 10 catches for 141 yards, both career highs. He became the first Cal receiver with at least 10 catches in a game since Chad Hansen had 10 vs. UCLA on Nov. 26, 2016.
  • Marcel Dancy had a 23-yard run to match his career long (also at Washington, 2019). He finished with 76 yards on a career-best 17 carries, while adding four receptions for 29 yards to also give him a career-best 105 all-purpose yards.
  • Jake Tonges had a career-high 9 receptions (for 55 yards and a touchdown).
  • Josh Drayden picked off his third career interception in the second quarter (his first since at Oregon State in 2018). Elijah Hicks had his second career interception in the third quarter (also vs. Colorado in 2018).
  • Dario Longhetto closed the first half with a career-long field goal, Cal's longest since Matt Anderson kicked a 52-yarder vs. Arizona in 2017.
  • Brayden Rohme and Brandon Mello all made their first career starts along Cal's offensive line. Orin Patu also had his first career start at linebacker.
