Nov 27, 2020
Kuony Deng Posted A Team-Best 14 Tackles In The Big Game On Friday

Cal scored on the opening drive of the game, capped by Chase Garbers connecting with Kekoa Crawford for a seven-yard touchdown. It was Crawford's second touchdown of the season and the fourth of his career. Cal has now scored on all three of its opening drives this season (FG at UCLA, TD at Oregon State).

Damien Moore's 54-yard run was the longest play from scrimmage of the season and the longest since Christopher Brown Jr. gained a 54-yard run in the RedBox Bowl last season. Moore ended the day with a career-high 121 rushing yards on 10 carries, good for his first career 100-yard rushing performance.

Cal's 241 rushing yards were the most since compiling 305 against Oregon State in 2018.

Garbers scampered for a season-high 22-yard run in the second quarter that was one yard shy of his career long. After rushing for a career-best 72 yards in the 2019 Big Game, Garbers totaled 51 rushing yards today on 13 carries today. He also completed 19 of 29 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns.

JH Tevis notched his first two career sacks.

Brett Johnson totaled a career-high 10 tackles today, surpassing his previous personal best of five tackles in last year's Big Game. He added a sack, as well.

Kuony Deng paced the Bears in tackles with 14, a season high and two shy of his career best.

Cameron Goode added his second sack of 2020 – 13th of his career – in the fourth quarter.

Brown Jr. secured his first rushing touchdown of season, and the 10th of his career, in the fourth quarter.

There have now been 56 Big Games that have finished with a seven-point differential or less.
