Cats Lead GCU After Day 1
TUCSON, Ariz. – On day 1 of a two-day championship-style meet in Tucson between Arizona and Grand Canyon, the Wildcats won nearly every final heat, and collected seven NCAA B cuts in the process.
Heading into Friday's finale, the Wildcat men lead the Antelopes 643 to 551 while the women lead Grand Canyon 557-335.
On the men's side, Brooks Fail (500 free and 200 fly), Ogi Maric (100 back), Brooks Taner (200 fly) and David Schlicht (200 IM) all earned NCAA B cuts; for the women, Faith Knelson (100 breast) and Jade Neser (100 breast) reached the B standard as well.
Arizona and Grand Canyon will conclude the meet on Friday with prelims set for 10 a.m. and finals set for 5 p.m. MST.
