Goforth Tabbed as Pac-12 Freshman of the Week

Dec 7, 2020

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State guard Sasha Goforth has been named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Goforth scored 24 points against San Francisco on Thursday, going 7-for-11 from the floor and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. She followed that up by scoring 11 points in her Pac-12 debut Sunday vs. Colorado.

The freshman is averaging 15.3 points per game this season, and has scored in double-figures in all three of Oregon State's games. Goforth joins Jamie Weisner, Sydney Wiese, Mikayla Pivec and Taylor Jones as Oregon State players to earn Freshman of the Week honors since the award started in 2012-13.

The Beavers have started the season with three consecutive victories, and will host Utah Tuesday at 6 p.m.
