Beavers Edged In 2020 Finale
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Jack Colletto ran for two touchdowns and Chance Nolan passed for two but Oregon State ended the 2020 season with a 46-33 loss to Arizona State Saturday night at Reser Stadium.
Colletto ended the day with six carries for 44 yards and touchdown runs of 1 and 11 yards, respectively. His last score came during an 18-point half for the Beavers (2-5), who capped the game and season when Ben Gulbranson threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Zeriah Beason on the final play of the game.
Nolan, meanwhile, threw touchdown passes to Tyjon Lindsey and Tre'Shaun Harrison.
Jermar Jefferson finished with his 15th career 100-yard rushing effort after totaling 103 yards versus ASU. It marked his second career 100-yard outing versus the Sun Devils after totaling 254 as a freshman in 2018.
ASU (2-2) took a 26-15 lead into halftime. The Beavers inched closer when Colletto scored on a 1-yard rush with 1:44 remaining in the half that capped a 15-play drive.
Lindsey opened the game's scoring on a 12-yard touchdown strike from Nolan at the 8:56 mark of the first quarter. The Sun Devils scored the game's next 26 points before Colletto's touchdown and subsequent successful 2-point conversion attempt.
