Cal-Oregon State Postgame Notes

Jarred Hyder was one of three Bears to score 12 points in Cal's 73-64 loss at Oregon State on Saturday.
  • Cal starters: Joel Brown, Matt Bradley, Ryan Betley, Andre Kelly, Lars Thiemann
  • Pac-12 scoring leader Matt Bradley did not play in the second half due to injury. He scored 5 points and added 3 rebounds in 12 minutes.
  • Andre Kelly, Jarred Hyder and Makale Foreman scored 12 points apiece to lead Cal.
  • Hyder's 12 points and 4 rebounds were both season-highs. He hit a pair of 3-pointers and was 4-of-7 from the field.
  • Lars Thiemann tied a career high with 9 rebounds.
  • Joel Brown's 5 assists marked the fourth time this season that he's dished out 5 or more.
  • Cal shot 51 percent (22-of-43) from the field for the game. It was the first time this season that Cal suffered a loss while posting a higher shooting percentage than its opponent (Oregon State shot 44 percent).
  • The Bears have lost three straight games to Oregon State dating back to the 2019-20 season.
