Women's Basketball Ready For Road Match At USC Friday

The University of Utah women's basketball program will head to L.A. for a pair of games, starting with the USC Trojans on Friday, Jan. 8. The game will take place inside the Galen Center at 7 p.m. MT, airing on Pac-12 Network, Pac-12 Mountain and Pac-12 Los Angeles.

Utah's game against USC will air on Pac-12 Network, Pac-12 Mountain and Pac-12 Los Angeles with Anne Marie Anderson and Tammy Blackburn on the call. Fans can also tune in to ESPN 700 with Tyson Ewing and Amanda Smith giving play-by-play action on the radio. Live stats for the game will be available on on the women's basketball schedule page.

•    Utah currently ranks in the top-half of the Pac-12 in steals per game (5th, 9.5). Utah has four games with 10+ steals this season.
•    Utah's underclassmen (3 sophomores, 4 freshmen) have scored 311 of Utah's 517 points this season (60%).  
•    The Utes bring size to the court this season, averaging out at 6-1 between the 14 players on the roster. Ten of Utah's 14 squad members are 6-0 or taller.
•    Utah has knocked off a Top 25 opponent every season under the direction of Lynne Roberts.
•    The last time Utah beat USC in L.A. Jan. 1, 2017 (58-53). The last five games against USC have been determined by an average of 3.4 points (2 OT games).  

Utah will stay in California as they take on the No. 9 UCLA Bruins on Sunday, Jan. 10. The game will air on Pac-12 Mountain and Pac-12 Los Angeles and will tip off at 2 p.m. MT.

Per the Pac-12's COVID-19 Medical Advisory Committee, fans will not be allowed at games to begin this season. •    In the first five games, Utah was only averaging 59.8 points per game. In the last three games, Utah has averaged 73.0, including scoring season-high point totals in back-to-back games (74 vs. Washington State, 1/1/21; 84 vs. Washington, 1/3/21).
•    Utah knocked down 24 free throws against Washington (1/3), the most by the Utes this season and their second time hitting 20-or-more (21 at Oregon State, 12/8). Utah's 24 against the Huskies is the second-most by a Pac-12 team this season.
•    Utah's 53 second half points against Washington (1/3) is the most in a half by the Utes this season and the second time they've scored 50+ in a half (50 in second vs. Oregon State, 12/8). It was the most points in a half by the Utes since Utah recorded 58 in the second half against Washington on Feb. 18, 2018.
•    Utah's 29 points in the fourth quarter against Washington (1/3) is the most by the Utes in a quarter this season. It is the most the Utes have scored in a single quarter since they dropped 34 in the fourth against UCLA on Feb. 10, 2019.
•    Utah's bench has scored 30+ points in back-to-back games (34 vs. Washington State, 1/1; 30 vs. Washington, 1/3) and has scored 30-or-more in four games this season (38% of Utah's scoring in 2020-21).
