LOS ANGELES — Brothers Evan Mobley and Isaiah Mobley both recorded double-doubles for the second-straight game as USC men's basketball fended off UC Riverside in overtime, 67-62, at Galen Center on Tuesday.

Evan Mobley finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. For the second consecutive game, Mobley blocked six shots against the Highlanders (4-3, 1-1 Big West).

Isaiah Mobley had a career-high 12 rebounds and scored 16 points — one shy of his best mark in two seasons at USC.

USC (9-2, 3-1 Pac-12) earned their fourth-straight win despite not shooting well for much of the contest. The Trojans shot just 38.1% from the field, their lowest mark recorded in a victory this season.

"Give UC Riverside credit, they played very well defensively and played harder than us at the beginning of the game," said USC head coach Andy Enfield. "We got off to a slow start and gave them some confidence and made it a game. It was a good win for us given the circumstances shooting 3-of-21 from the 3-point line again."

UC Riverside opened the game with a 7-2 run before USC countered with a 7-2 burst of its own. The Highlanders then emerged with a 16-0 run that helped give UC Riverside a 32-27 edge at halftime.

Isaiah Mobley scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half, while Evan Mobley had 10 in a closely-contested second half that saw the Trojans conceding their lead with 1:57 left in the game.

Down by 1, Isaiah White drew a shooting foul but converted just one of two free throws. On UC Riverside's final possession, Evan Mobley blocked the Highlanders' game-winning attempt as the buzzer sounded, sending the game into overtime.

After scoring just four points in regulation, Drew Peterson had eight points in the bonus period — six coming from back-to-back and-one conversions — to help seal the game for the Trojans.

"I found a couple good spots in overtime and my teammates trusted me to make shots," Peterson said. "I missed a few early on, but got them to drop in overtime."

Peterson (12 points) and Tahj Eaddy (10) were the other two Trojans who scored in double digits. UC Riverside guard Dominick Pickett had a team-high 16-points for the Highlanders.

USC added UC Riverside late into its 2020-21 men's basketball schedule to help make up two non-conference games that were canceled in December due to the Trojans facing COVID-19 issues at the time. USC will finish the regular season with a 6-1 record against non-conference foes.

The Trojans resume Pac-12 play this weekend with a Thursday matchup against Washington, followed by a Saturday night game against Washington State. Both games will tip at 6:30 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Networks.
