BOULDER – Colorado tennis head coach Danielle Steinberg announced the 2021 schedule Friday, highlighted by 10 home duals and matchups against five top-25 opponents.
Steinberg enters her third season at the helm of the Buffs with arguably one of her strongest teams. Juniors Sara Nayar, Megan Forster and Ky Ecton lead the upperclassmen along with the addition of graduate student transfer and All-Big East performer Fleur Eggink from Marquette. They join a strong class of sophomores that include Sophia Derivan, Antonia Balzert, Maria Campos and Ellie Puzak. Junior Tallulah Farrow has decided to opt-out of the 2021 season but will return in the fall.
Colorado kicks off the 2021 season against Division II opponent MSU-Denver on January 24th before heading on the road to take on North Dakota and Iowa State in Ames, Iowa. The team returns home for a three-game home stretch against Utah State, Wyoming and BYU before taking on the three Colorado Division I opponents, all on the road. The Buffs begin Pac-12 play against No. 19 Cal at home on March 5th, followed up by No.4 Stanford on the 7th.
CU also will host New Mexico, Washington and Washington State before finishing the season with senior day on April 16th against Utah. The Buffs also face No.2-ranked UCLA, No.17 USC and No.20 Arizona State, all on the road from late March to early April.
