Bryant is G-Pac Representative
STANFORD, Calif. - Seldom in our nation's history has the mission of fostering diversity and inclusion been more important. To further the conversation and push forward these goals, gymnasts from each Pac-12 program have formed "Gymnasts for Peace, Action and Change" (G-PAC), a student-athlete driven organization. With all eight programs represented, these gymnasts will work to share ideas, formulate meet themes, host webinars, welcome guest speakers to campus and more.
The Cardinal's representative in the G-PAC initiative will be senior Kyla Bryant, who also serves as the Vice-President and Co-founder of CardinalBLCK, Stanford's service-based Black student-athlete organization dedicated to promoting social justice, fostering community involvement and supporting those in need.
"We are called to love and when we look forward to the future, it is our responsibility to reflect the change we want to see in our society," said Bryant, who was named a a 2020 WCGA Second Team All-American on floor, becoming the 34th All-American in school history and first since Elizabeth Price in 2018. "As a collective unit, the Pac-12 gymnastics community strives to be at the forefront of that mission. My role as G-Pac's Stanford University representative is to set an example of humility and integrity, while also being a resource for open discussion. I am excited to continue on this journey to worldwide peace, understanding and awareness."
G-PAC Mission Statement: G-PAC facilitates an environment where diversity and inclusion is both welcomed and encouraged. Strives to ignite lasting change by sharing experiences, providing others with education and outside resources, and creating an authentic safe space for fellow student-athletes.
