Jan 17, 2021

LOS ANGELES - The Utah dive team finished strong on the final day of the UCLA Diving Invitational with Tony Chen and Regan Caufield taking first in today's competition on their respective events.

"Regan had a strong finish to the meet in her best event," said head diving coach Richard Marschner.  "It can be difficult to get locked in and keep the energy up on day three of the meet, but she brought it and dived really well. Tony wasn't as sharp as he usually is, but he was good enough in finals to pull out the win. It was nice to get another competition in and get used to competing again."

Tony Chen took the top spot on the podium on the 1m with a score of 588.05.  Jenner Pennock followed in second with a score of 543.00.  Chase Hindmarsh placed fifth with a score of 485.00.

Regan Caufield led the women on the platform, taking first with a score of 436.70.  Lexi Mills placed fourth, scoring 368.80.  Emma Ruchala placed sixth with a score of 334.85 and Lizzy DeCecco placed seventh with a score of 331.70.
